Training and preparedness remained a top priority for the Kingston Forty Fort Fire Department as career and volunteer members recently completed an intensive Aerial Apparatus Practices course hosted at fire headquarters by the West Pittston Hose Company. Over the course of the week, participants engaged in both classroom instruction and hands-on training designed to strengthen their understanding and operation of aerial fire apparatus.

The course introduced firefighters to the operational theory behind aerial ladders, aerial towers, and elevated platforms. Instruction focused on critical areas such as system design, operational safety, proper apparatus spotting and stabilization, equipment handling, and the use of elevated master streams. Hands-on evolutions allowed members to apply classroom concepts in real-world scenarios, reinforcing safe and effective aerial operations.

Department officials emphasized that continuous training plays a vital role in firefighter safety and operational readiness. By investing in ongoing education and skill development, the Kingston Forty Fort Fire Department ensures its members remain prepared to respond effectively to emergencies and provide the highest level of service to the community.
