On 7th Dec 2025, Firefighters from Mocanaqua Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 responded to a fire alarm activation at the AWS building in Salem Township on December 7, 2025. Units on the assignment included Engine 118, Truck 121, and MICU 95. Upon arrival, crews conducted a full investigation and determined that heat detectors had activated inside the building’s Pre-Action room. Firefighters noted an abnormally high temperature in the area and performed additional checks to identify the source and confirm there was no active fire or hazardous condition present. After ensuring the space was safe and system conditions were stable, the incident was turned over to facility personnel, and responding units cleared the scene without further issue.
