NEW BRITAIN, CT - Firefighters responded to 27 Westerly Street on December 24, 2022, for a report of a porch on fire. Firefighters had fire showing from the second-floor front porch on arrival. The fire had extended into the interior of the second floor before being knocked down. This was the second structure fire within a few hours on Christmas Eve in New Britain. The cause is under investigation.
