A private home at 416 Maple Hill Drive in Hackensack was damaged in an afternoon fire on 12-20-25. 

Firefighters were dispatched at approximately 2:30 PM and discovered a fire in the rear of the 1 ½ story structure on the first floor and extending to the second. A working fire was transmitted bringing mutual aid from Teaneck, Englewood, and Hasbrouck Heights to the scene.

Two lines were stretched in the front door, one to the first and one to the second floor. Hackensack and Englewood both laddered the roof and vented. The main body of fire was quickly knocked down and companies commenced overhaul. The blaze was declared under control in about twenty minutes. One firefighter received minor injury .
