Bordentown Township, New Jersey — December 16 — A reported residence fire in Mansfield Township prompted the mutual assistance response of Engine 3212 (C-Shift) and Battalion Chief 3203 from Bordentown Township Fire District #1, located at 51 Groveville Road. The units were asked to help nearby businesses that were working at a fire.

Personnel from Bordentown Township joined the incident action plan as soon as they arrived and helped put out the fire. Under established command, crews assisted with both external and interior activities. Mutual aid responses enable departments to pool resources during protracted incidents and are a standard component of countywide operations. Until conditions stabilized and units were put back into service, the additional crew assisted in maintaining safe operations and continuity on the fireground.
