Mystic, Connecticut — December 4 — The Poquonnock Bridge Fire District requested mutual aid from the Old Mystic Fire Department (Official) for a structural fire. When Old Mystic crews arrived, they were designated as the Firefighter Assist and Search Team and helped with hose line deployment and ventilation operations.

Eight firefighters from OMFD arrived to the location, while five more members stayed in the district to guarantee ongoing coverage. Old Mystic was sent to a priority call within its own district as units continued to work at the fire. The crew waiting in quarters reacted right away. The well-coordinated reaction proved the need of in-district personnel and mutual help preparation during concurrent occurrences.
