November 11, 2025 — The Bloomingburg Fire Company was dispatched at approximately 5:56 p.m. this evening to a multi-vehicle motor vehicle accident with injuries on Route 17.
Upon arrival, firefighters closed one lane of traffic while emergency crews worked the scene. A temporary full closure of Route 17 was required to allow tow operators to safely remove damaged vehicles.
Several patients were evaluated and treated by the Mamakating First Aid Squad. Bloomingburg Fire Company was assisted on scene by multiple New York State Police units and the Wurtsboro Fire Department.
