December 15, 2025 — Copiague, NY — Members of the Copiague Fire Department partnered with local law enforcement, fellow community heroes, and Mr. and Mrs. Claus to spread holiday cheer during the annual Shop with a Heroes and Helpers program held at Target.

The event gave local children the opportunity to shop for holiday gifts alongside firefighters, police officers, and volunteers, creating a memorable experience centered on generosity and community connection. Participants guided children through the store, helping them select meaningful presents while ensuring the evening remained fun, festive, and stress-free.

Throughout the night, the store was filled with smiles as children completed their shopping, checked out with the help of first responders, and posed for photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. The program highlights the strong bond between Copiague’s emergency services and the families they serve.

Organizers praised the collaboration among agencies and volunteers, noting that the annual tradition reflects the true spirit of the holiday season — service, compassion, and community coming together to make a difference.
