Groton Long Point, Connecticut — 13th December — The Noank Fire Department and the Groton Long Point Volunteer Fire Department finished a hands-on Firefighter 1 training session that concentrated on fundamental operational abilities. Hazardous materials protective suits, including correct donning and doffing techniques, suit restrictions, and safety considerations, were a significant section of the program. Additionally, firefighters reinforced air management, inspections, and emergency protocols while reviewing self-contained breathing apparatus operations. They also practiced knot-tying techniques that are frequently utilized for hoisting, securing tools, and rescue missions.
