Franklin, Connecticut — 26th November — As part of ongoing preparedness measures, the Franklin Volunteer Fire Department conducted an evening training session with Firefighter 1 candidates at their station on Tyler Drive. Core Firefighter 1 abilities, including as teamwork, safety procedures, and fundamental fireground operations, were the main focus of the training. These kinds of sessions give applicants the chance to apply what they learn in the classroom through practical work while working under the supervision of more seasoned members.
Candidates are prepared for structure firefighting, emergency response, and scene operations through Firefighter 1 programs, which are based on nationally and state-recognized training standards. Frequent internal training aids departments in upholding operational discipline and standard operating procedures.
