December 8, 2025 | The Bay Shore Fire Department has announced the return of a beloved holiday tradition as Santa Claus prepares to ride through the community with the help of local firefighters on Saturday, December 20, 2025. The event will begin at 9 a.m., with Santa traveling aboard fire apparatus escorted by Bay Shore firefighter “elves,” spreading Christmas cheer throughout the district.

Residents are encouraged to listen for sirens to know when Santa is nearby and to enjoy the event safely by not following the procession in their vehicles. Due to access limitations, Santa will be unable to travel down dead-end streets. Multiple Bay Shore Fire Department units and affiliated organizations will participate in the festive operation, which has become a highlight of the holiday season for families across the community.

The department looks forward to continuing this long-standing tradition and invites residents to keep their eyes and ears open as Santa and the Bay Shore firefighters make their rounds, bringing seasonal joy and community spirit to neighborhoods throughout Bay Shore.
