Mutual Aid Assists at Hebron Structure Fire

Hebron, Connecticut — December 8 — A reported structure fire at 605 Gilead Street prompted the Hebron Fire Department to respond. Shortly after being dispatched, crews arrived and discovered that the fire was limited to one room. The fire was swiftly put out, preventing it from spreading to the rest of the house. Before help arrived, two residents self-extricated, and neither residents nor firefighters reported any injuries. Later that evening, the residence was cleared for re-occupancy following ventilation and assessment; no residents were evacuated. Connecticut DOT responded to the water on the road from suppression efforts by applying salt to increase traction. The cause is being looked into by the Hebron Fire Marshal's Office. Windham Hospital Paramedics, Eversource crews, and the fire departments of Manchester, Marlborough, Glastonbury, and Bolton all offered mutual aid help.
