A crash shut down the roadway on Sunday, November 21, around 3:30 p.m. on Feura Bush Road in the area of Hasgate Drive.

According to a statement from Sgt Michael Whiteley of the Bethlehem Police Department, a white 2012 Subaru driven by a 47-year-old Albany man rear-ended a black 2019 Nissan driven by a 61-year-old Rensselaer woman.

The collision caused the Nissan to travel into the oncoming lane of traffic.

“The Subaru did then strike a utility pole on the passenger side and crossed both lanes of traffic to rest upon the grass on the opposite side of the road,” according to police.

Delmar Fire, Delmar-Bethlehem EMS, Albany County Paramedics and Bethlehem Police responded to the scene.

Feura Bush Road was closed from Elsmere Avenue to Murray Avenue until tow trucks arrived to remove the cars from the roadway.

Vehicle occupants were evaluated on the scene by EMS and refused medical transport, according to police.

The driver of the Subaru was issued a ticket related to the crash, police said.
