— September 20, 2026 — Firefighters responded Sunday afternoon to a reported power-line fire in a wooded area along Marsh Pond Road in the Town of Sanford.
Crews from Deposit Fire Department Stations 1 and 2 were dispatched after a power line was reported down and burning in the woods along Marsh Pond Road. Firefighters operated in the area while utility crews worked to address the damaged electrical service.
According to the Deposit Fire Department, NYSEG and TDS were working on a service outage in the Marsh Pond Road area. The utility response was needed to address the damaged line and restore service.
