Deposit Crews Respond to House Fire and Medical Emergency

Deposit, N.Y. — September 18, 2026 — Firefighters from the Deposit area responded to two separate calls over several days, including a mutual-aid house fire in the Trout Creek Fire District and a medical emergency that required an air-medical landing zone.
On Friday, September 18, Deposit Fire Department crews responded to a house fire in the Trout Creek Fire District. Squad 22-1 and Pumper-Tanker 22 were assigned to the mutual-aid response, according to the Deposit Fire Department.
On Monday, September 14, Deposit-area crews also established a landing zone for Life Net of New York after a patient experienced a serious medical emergency. The landing zone allowed the air-medical helicopter to meet local responders and transport the patient for further medical care.
Life Net of New York is one of the air-medical services available to emergency responders in New York. Broome County's emergency communications documentation identifies Life Net as one of the helicopter transport services available to the county.
