The Connecticut Fire Academy Class 76 graduates were all congratulated by the Shelton Fire Department, with Firefighter Josh Parfan receiving special mention. Josh has earned his Firefighter I, Firefighter II, and EMT certifications and is a member of Echo Hose Hook and Ladder Company No. 1.

If all conditions are satisfied, the department supports one member for every CFA Recruit class. Josh represented Shelton throughout the school and received recognition for his great work ethic, dedication to progress, and enthusiasm for the fire service. Shelton Fire Department noted that Josh’s dedication reflects the values of the organization and expressed pride in his accomplishments and continued service.
