North Grosvenor Dale, Connecticut — December 13 — Twenty firemen achieved a significant milestone in their certification process by passing their state practical exam. Core fireground abilities, such as hose advancement, ladder work, search techniques, and fundamental operations needed for safe emergency response, were assessed.

Firefighters' ability to apply classroom instruction and practical training under standardized situations is confirmed by state practical assessment. To make sure tasks were completed accurately and in accordance with current state standards, examiners watched each evolution. The firefighters, teachers, and supporting departments put in many hours of preparation to complete the test. By adding certified staff who are prepared to work on incidents, the accomplishment enhances local and regional response capacities. The testing also demonstrates the fire service's continued dedication to readiness and training.
