Single-Vehicle MVA Cleared Within an Hour

Charlestown, R.I. — December 9 —Earlier this morning, a car collided with a tree on South County Trail, prompting the Charlestown Richmond Fire Department, Cross' Mills Fire Department, Charlestown Ambulance Rescue Service, and Charlestown Police Department to react.
When Charlestown Police and Engine 716 arrived, the driver had already exited the car. There was no fire going on. While rescue workers evaluated and attended to the patient, Engine 716 secured the car. A flatbed tow truck was requested to remove the vehicle. The scene was cleared within approximately one hour.
