Stamford, Conn. — December 8 —One of the city's most well-known Christmas festivals, Stamford Downtown's annual Heights & Lights event, was supported by Long Ridge Fire Company members. Families gathered to take part in the celebrations, and crews were present. Santa's descent from the Landmark Building, which attracted a large crowd, was one of the evening's highlights. Members pointed out that the annual gathering is still a popular custom that unites the community.
