On 16th Nov 2025- The Robert Fulton Fire Company received an overwhelming show of community support this week as local businesses, organizations, and residents stepped up to ensure a successful Thanksgiving food drive. Thanks to generous cash and food donations, volunteers and the auxiliary are now preparing to finalize purchases to provide a complete, home-cooked holiday meal for everyone in need.
Among the major contributors was When Pigs Fly Home Improvements, led by Evan Ellwanger and his wife, Sam, who coordinated and delivered more than $200 worth of critical food items, including hams and yams. Above the Line Automotive, a long-time supporter of the fire company, also made a significant cash donation, continuing its tradition of backing local volunteer services. Additional support came from Riders with a Purpose – CMA, whose contribution further strengthened the effort.
Combined with boot donations collected during recent breakfasts and other private contributions, the food drive raised a total of $1,405. Fire company officials emphasized that while some donors preferred to remain anonymous, every contribution played a vital role. Over the coming days, the auxiliary will complete final shopping to ensure adequate food and beverages are available for all who attend the Thanksgiving meal.
