N. Patchogue Prevents Truck Fire From Extending to Home

East Patchogue N.Y- On Friday December 11th at about 12:25 AM the North Patchogue Fire Department was activated for a report of a vehicle Fire in the vicinity of Barton Ave and Circle Dr East. North Patchogue’s Captain was advised by dispatch that the call came in for a commercial vehicle on fire close to the house. On Circle Dr it was determined that a dump truck was fully involved in the driveway but had not extended to the home.
Engine 5-17-4 arrived on scene as the first due engine and the crew quickly stretched 1 line. The crew went to work making a quick aggressive attack on the fire in the driveway of the home on Circle Dr East. The fire was quickly knocked down and brought under control without any extension. All units were placed back in service a short time later.
