Working Structure Fire in Falconer Draws Mutual-Aid Response

Firefighters encountered a well-involved service garage during an afternoon commercial fire at the JMI Concrete facility on New York Avenue.
Falconer Fire Department was dispatched at approximately 1:26 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026, in Falconer, New York. First-arriving crews found heavy fire in the service garage and requested additional resources.
Firefighters from Kennedy, Kiantone, Celoron, Frewsburg and Gerry responded on mutual aid. Chautauqua County HazMat, County EMS and other county resources also assisted.
Employees safely evacuated the building, and no civilian or firefighter injuries were reported. Crews used multiple handlines and master streams to contain the fire to the service garage and protect the remainder of the facility.
Jamestown Board of Public Utilities personnel secured electrical service and assisted with water supply operations. The service garage sustained extensive damage, but the concrete plant was not destroyed.
The Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team responded to investigate the origin and cause, which remained under investigation.
