Delmar, N.Y. — November 11 — The Delmar Fire Department, located at 145 Adams Street, joined Albany County's emergency services organizations in celebrating Veterans Day and paying tribute to all those who served in the US military. The agency noted that many veterans continue to serve their communities as cops, firefighters, and emergency medical technicians, acknowledging the close connection between military service and public safety positions.

Local celebrations emphasized the commitment, cooperation, and steady leadership that veterans offer to disaster response tasks. Today, regional organizations also took a moment to express gratitude to service members and honor their families. Veterans Day is still a crucial reminder of the dedication needed to protect others, both in uniform and via community service, according to Delmar officials.
