Mutual Aid Response Keeps Coverage in Place Across Allegany County

ALLEGANY, NY — February 22nd — During several local fire incidents, the Allegany Fire Department provided assistance to nearby departments. Tower 6 was sent to the Village of Bolivar to support firefighters fighting a building fire. The unit was heading back to quarters after clearing the incident when it was diverted to standby coverage at Westons Mills.


While Westons Mills crews were supporting the Clarksville Fire District at another reported working structure fire, the standby assignment was requested. To defend the Westons Mills and Portville districts from fire, Tower 6 and Engine 1 stayed in the vicinity. In Allegany County, departments frequently collaborate to maintain coverage and guarantee resources are available during protracted emergency situations.
