Multi-Vehicle Crash on Route 24 Sends Four Patients to Hospitals

Berkley, MA — December 6 —On Saturday night, Berkley Fire and Rescue was called to a multi-vehicle collision on Route 24. Both the northbound and southbound lanes close to Padelford Street were impacted by the incident, which was reported at 6:24 p.m. On the southbound side were Car 1, Engine 4, Ambulance 1, and Taunton Medic 1. From the area of the incident, two victims were taken to Rhode Island Hospital. Along with Freetown Fire's Engine 1, Engine 3, and Ambulance 2, Car 2, Engine 1, and Ambulance 2 helped with patient treatment and incident control on the northbound side. St. Luke's Hospital received two more patients.
In addition to treating injured people and restoring traffic flow, crews attempted to stabilize the area. Berkley Fire and Rescue expressed gratitude to Brewster Ambulance, Taunton EMS, and Freetown Fire Department for their assistance in handling the emergency.
