East Litchfield, CT — December 3 —On Tuesday, East Litchfield firefighters responded to multiple calls. Engine 26 was called to a house on Buell Road in the evening due to a smoke odor. Before going back into operation, crews ventilated the house, checked the furnace, and used thermal imaging cameras and gas meters to monitor conditions.

Earlier, at 04:52, Engines 24 and 25 provided mutual-aid assistance to the Litchfield Fire Department on Baldwin Hill Road in response to a structure fire. Engine 25 returned once again later in the day to provide lift assistance to Litchfield Volunteer Ambulance and Litchfield Fire.
