Burke County EMA Announces Routine Plant Vogtle Siren Test for December 3rd

On December 3rd, 2025, Burke County EMA announced that Plant Vogtle will conduct a scheduled siren test at approximately 12:00 PM (noon). The sirens located within the 10-mile Emergency Planning Zone (EPZ) around the plant will sound as part of this routine test.
Officials emphasize that this is only a test, and there is no cause for alarm. These periodic checks ensure the emergency notification system remains fully operational and ready if ever needed.
