On November 5, 2025, Chatham Emergency Services proudly represented Georgia in Washington, D.C., during the American Ambulance Association’s Stars of Life events. EMS District Chief Doug Struble, Chatham’s 2025 Star of Life, had the honor of meeting Senator Raphael Warnock to discuss one of the most extraordinary saves of his career—an 83-minute cardiac arrest resuscitation that exemplifies the highest level of emergency medical care.
The conversation highlighted the lifesaving skill, relentless determination, and clinical excellence required in modern EMS, while also bringing national attention to the dedication of first responders across Georgia. Chief Struble’s recognition at the federal level reflects not only his personal achievement, but also the professionalism and commitment shared by EMS providers throughout the state.
