Penobscot, ME — November 24 — The Penobscot Volunteer Fire Department's Monday night training was centered on medical preparedness and equipment safety. Members finished their yearly ladder inspections, making sure ladders continue to be safe for fireground operations by looking for wear, damage, and appropriate operation.

Firefighters continued their CPR training from the previous week after the inspection work. A video and discussion on administering CPR to a firefighter wearing turnout gear and an SCBA were part of the session. During Mayday or medical emergencies requiring responders, the training emphasized teamwork and prompt action.
