MONT VERNON, N.H. — November 22 — While Milford firefighters battled a structure fire on Federal Hill Road, the Mont Vernon Fire Department responded to a call for station coverage in Milford. In order to keep the town's emergency response capabilities intact, coverage support was activated with numerous units assigned to the scene. Mont Vernon staff stood by at Milford’s station, ready to handle extra calls if needed.

Mutual aid agreements allow departments to exchange resources during hectic or complex crises. Coverage assignments, according to fire authorities, are essential to ensuring consistent service during significant events. Even when primary crews are involved at a working fire, people will still receive prompt help because to the coordinated effort, which demonstrates the solid relationship across local agencies.
