Bedford, NH- The Bedford Fire Department responded to a serious motor vehicle crash at the northbound Bedford Toll Plaza involving fire and reported entrapment.

Upon arrival, crews confirmed the patient had been removed from the vehicle, which was fully involved in fire.

Firefighters initiated an aggressive attack, establishing a water supply while working to suppress the blaze.

Crews later determined the vehicle was electric, prompting additional mutual aid for support. Class A foam was applied to cool the battery, and a fire blanket was used to help smother the vehicle.

With assistance from the Department of Transportation, the vehicle was removed from beneath the toll structure and transported to a nearby facility, with crews escorting it due to continued smoke. One patient was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
