Catskill Fire Company and Hudson Fire Department held a joint vehicle extrication drill to practice rescue skills and teamwork during motor-vehicle emergencies. Crews trained with stabilization tools and hydraulic equipment to safely remove simulated patients from damaged vehicles. The departments thanked Joe Calvetta for once again providing the training space and vehicles for the exercise.

Catskill Fire trains every Tuesday evening and welcomes community members to stop by, learn more about the department, and explore volunteer opportunities. Fire officials say regular, hands-on practice helps maintain readiness and supports strong mutual-aid partnerships across the region.
