Rumney Fire Responds to Truck Rollover Down Embankment

Rumney, NH — November 11 — Department When a dump truck veered off the road and tumbled onto its side down an embankment on Route 25, the Rumney Fire Department, located at 59 Depot Street, was called to the scene. In addition to Plymouth Fire-Rescue, Rumney Police Department, and New Hampshire State Police, C1, Engine 1, and Engine 2 responded. The driver met responders along the roadway after self-extricating before workers could arrive. After being taken to a nearby hospital for assessment, he was eventually released.

For several hours, just one lane of Route 25 could be used while towing and emergency services attempted to securely retrieve the car. In order to protect everyone on the road, responders advised the public to slow down and remain vigilant when passing active scenes.
