Vergennes, Vt. — Nov. 3 — During the monthly meeting, the City of Vergennes Fire Department was dispatched to a car accident on Woodman Hill. Units were en route within minutes and arrived to find a single-vehicle crash with one patient. The crew stabilized the vehicle and confirmed that no environmental hazards were present at the scene.

With VARS already assigned to another call, EMS-certified responders from the fire department, along with a VARS first responder, provided patient care. The team stabilized, monitored, and packaged the patient for Bristol Rescue upon their arrival. The response demonstrated effective coordination between fire and EMS resources to ensure a safe and organized outcome.
