Newbury, VT - In the evening of 15 March 2026, Wells River Fire Department was dispatched to Route 5 following reports of a motor vehicle accident. Engine 1 responded promptly and discovered a single vehicle that had veered off the roadway and collided with a tree.
Both occupants were assessed at the scene and reported no injuries. Emergency personnel secured the area before transferring control of the scene to the Vermont State Police.
