GUILDERLAND, N.Y. — Nov. 20 —Frank Palmeri and Sean Duffy of the Guilderland Fire Department graduated from the New York State Interior Firefighting Operations class held at the Berne Fire Department. The accomplishment comes after months of training, late hours, and a dedication to developing the abilities required for interior reaction.

Their passion exemplifies why the department continues to grow and address emergency demands at all hours of the day. Members observed that volunteer firefighters such as Palmeri and Duffy play an important role in assisting neighbors during difficult times and maintaining community support.
