GUILDERLAND, N.Y. — Nov. 6 —The Western Turnpike Golf Course will host Guilderland's first annual Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting, marking the start of a new holiday tradition. The event will take place on Saturday, December 6, at 6 p.m., and is intended to be a family-friendly evening for both residents and visitors.

Plans include live holiday music, local food options, and a time for neighbors to socialize prior to the tree lighting. Town officials anticipate that the event will increase in the coming years as it becomes part of the community's seasonal schedule.
