Long Pond, PA — 29 October — Members of the Department Tunkhannock Twp. Vol. Fire Co. Station 42, 1539 Long Pond Rd., Long Pond, PA, took part in live-fire training at the Monroe County Public Safety Centre, where they practiced dumpster and tanker fires. Enhancing control over fire conditions, water supply operations, and teamwork in practical situations were the main goals of the workshop.

Crews trained managing restricted water conditions, advancing attack lines from tanker resources, and using safe techniques to put out refuse-fuel fires. Along with correct overhaul procedures to avoid rekindle, the training also emphasised communication between pump operators and nozzle teams. Firefighters were able to adapt procedures utilised on active firegrounds while working safely in the controlled setting.
