Long Pond, PA — 8 November — Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Fire Company, Pocono Summit Volunteer Fire Company, the Pocono Lions Club, and local scout groups joined Department Tunkhannock Twp. Vol. Fire Co. Station 42, 1539 Long Pond Rd, Long Pond, PA for a wreath-laying ceremony in honour of veterans of the armed forces. The group started by laying wreaths at gravesites at Pocono Lake Cemetery in remembrance of those who served.

Before laying a final wreath at a private gravestone located elsewhere in the township, members of Station 42 and the Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Fire Company completed the homage at Long Pond Cemetery. The fire service's long-standing dedication to community and remembering was reflected in the event's emphasis on respect for veterans and assistance for their families.
