Coordinated Response from Stations 42, 41 and 33 Ends Smoke Emergency

Long Pond, PA — 28 October — Engine 42 was sent to the Arden Mills Plant by Department Tunkhannock Twp. Vol. Fire Co. Station 42, 1539 Long Pond Rd., Long Pond, PA, in response to an automated commercial fire alert. Additionally, Pocono Summit Volunteer Fire Company stations 41 and 33 were sent out. The incident was promptly upgraded to a commercial structure fire when the first responding firefighters noticed smoke pouring from the building.

Firefighters moved attack lines closer to the impacted area and conducted searches to make sure no residents were in risk. While ventilation workers tried to increase visibility and eliminate the smoke condition within the building, additional units secured the water supply. Without any recorded injuries, the situation was quickly brought under control by the coordinated efforts of the responding firms.
