26 October — Long Pond, PA — Engine 42, Tanker 42, and Tanker 42-1 from Department Tunkhannock Twp. Vol. Fire Co. Station 42, 1539 Long Pond Rd, Long Pond, PA, responded to assist West End Volunteer Fire Company Station 43 at a working home fire in its first-due area. First-arriving units reported strong flames from a two-story residence, prompting the activation of other mutual-aid agencies.

Station 42 crews helped by setting up a water supply, extending extra lines, and assisting with both outside and interior suppression duties. Firefighters switched to ventilation and overhaul once the fire was put out in order to clear debris and look for any hidden hot spots. No civilian casualties were reported, and all residents were verified to be out of the house before to arrival.
