October 15, 2025 — Full Allendale Fire Department reported that firefighters spent time this week at Archer Co-Op Nursery School as part of Fire Prevention Week activities. Crews met with students to teach age-appropriate fire safety lessons, explain what to do in an emergency, and introduce the children to some of the other community helpers who serve the borough.

According to the department, the students were enthusiastic and engaged throughout the visit, asking questions, exploring the gear, and learning how firefighters work to keep the community safe. Firefighters noted that the excitement and curiosity shown by the children were clear signs of “future heroes in the making.”

The Allendale Fire Department expressed appreciation to the school for the invitation and said it was proud to participate in this year’s fire safety education efforts.
