Bayport NY,, Bayport and Blue Point fire depts along with scpd Marine units responded to a boat crash in the water behind the lands end catering hall. A boat was trying to enter the marina but due to darkness and a high blood alcohol level the boat only made it on the jetty . a first dive teams responded as it was told passengers on the boat were in the water, Both the boat operator and a passenger were removed from the boat to awaiting ambulances and transported with minor injuries to community hospital . Scpd officers arrested the operator and he was charged with boating while intoxicated , the boat remain on the jetty untill sea tow could safely remove it in daylight
