Penn Hills, Pa. — October 19 — Stations 223 and 227 were dispatched to Linton Middle School's parking lot just after 9 a.m. on Sunday to respond to a reported vehicle fire. Penn Hills Police came first, confirming that the driver was safe and unharmed, with the vehicle parked near the soccer field. Engine 227 arrived to find an active engine compartment fire and established an assault line to contain the flames. Crews from 223 Engine aided with the extinguishment, and all units remained on scene for approximately 30 minutes before clearing. 223 Captain oversaw the event, with assistance from 227EN, 227TK, 227UT, 227CV, 223EN1, 223MP, and PHPD.
