Students Learn Key Fire-Prevention Tips from Fredericksburg Fire Co. #1.

Fredericksburg, Pa. — October 26 — As part of its outreach for Fire Prevention Month, Fredericksburg Fire Co. #1 visited primary schools in the area. Firefighters went over the fundamentals of smoke alarms, house escape plans, and how kids should react in the event of a fire. In order to assist kids feel more at ease with how firefighters seem and sound during crises, crews also demonstrated turnout gear and tools.

The visit strengthened relationships between firefighters, educators, and families and reinforced fire safety practices at a young age, supporting the department's larger public education initiatives throughout Lebanon County.
