Highspire, Pa. — November 12 — During a nighttime engine-operations training on Industrial Road, Citizen's Fire Company #1 of Highspire concentrated on line deployment, water supply and equipment placement in more constrained roadway layouts. In order to provide more seamless transitions during the initial attack, crews worked through a number of evolutions to strengthen cooperation between pump operators and interior teams.
As part of the department's continuous readiness program, the exercise provides firemen with practical experience in real-world street situations that are comparable to those seen during Dauphin County residential and commercial responses.
