NEW BRITAIN, CT - Firefighters arrived at 26 Buena Vista Avenue just before 6.00 A.M., on November 12th for a fully involved detached two-bay garage fire with extension to a large pine tree and threatening multiple exposures.
Flames were shooting 60-feet into the air as fire traveled from the garage and up and out the top of a tall pine tree. Soon after arrival, the garage collapsed.
Firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to several exposures in the area, including a nearby home. The cause is under investigation.
