Smith Point Park NY- On the weekend of November 13th & 14th the Suffolk County USAR ( Urban Search and Rescue) team held their annual Mobex training at Smith Point Marina and the Smith Point Bridge. Members of Suffolk Fire Rescue, Suffolk Police, Port Jeff Ambulance, Suffolk EMS and NYS Emergency management were among the agencies that were on hand for the training. They trained on various scenarios Rope Rescue operations down the side of the bridge, Water Search & Rescue operations , A vehicle extrication with the vehicle in the dumpster and more.
