SMITHTOWN, NY - On Sunday, November 9th, the Smithtown Fire Department was activated for a reported commercial structure fire. On arrival of 4-2-30, he had heavy fire showing from Mavis Tire Shop. Smithtown's engines and tower ladder along with mutual aid arrived on scene and started extinguishing the fire; then, 30 pulled everyone out of the building and started exterior operations. The fire was placed under control within 3 hours.
