On Sunday November 9th the Smithtown Fire Department was activated for a reported commercial structure fire. On arrival of 4-2-30 he had heavy fire showing from mavis tire shop. Smithtowns engines and tower ladder and mutual aids arrived on scene and start extinguishing the fire, then 30 pulled everyone out of the building and started exterior operations. The fire was placed under control within 3 hours later.
