Brookline, NH - Brookline firefighters were dispatched to a reported structure fire on Townsend Hill Road on November 10th. Crews arrived to find heavy fire showing from a large barn, threatening to extend into the main house. A second and third alarm were transmitted quickly. Due to the location of the fire, limited water was available. Multiple mutual aid tankers from surrounding towns were called in to assist with water supply. Crews did a great job at saving the house and keeping the fire from extending into the dwelling. Crews remained on scene for several hours hitting hot spots. An excavator was called in to demolish the barn due to unstable conditions.
